The commonest causes of nasal obstruction that may cause snoring but can also disrupt sleep and normal day-to-day life are deviated nasal septum and enlarged inferior turbinates. The conventional and hardly less brutal operations to correct these abnormalities with the scalpel have now been superseded by the laser machine. As well as all the advantages described for the soft palate operation, a laser operation on the nose takes 10-15 minutes requires only surface anaesthesia, does not require any post-operative packing of the nose is usually so well tolerated that patients can return to work on the same day as the operation. There is seldom any pain or post-operative bleeding and never any damage caused to the cartilage supports of the nose.

There are some clinics that provide radiofrequency treatment (RT). We provide such a treatment only on patient's wish. Laser therapy is superior to RT since the procedure can be better controlled by a surgeon and since the properties of the laser can be can be changed several times during an operation depending on the situation.
