The purpose of the study is to assess the benefit of the ReVENT® Sleep Apnea System in patients diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) due to tongue base closure. This is a new minimally invasive surgical procedure in which the ReVENT® Sleep Apnea System, which consists of a kit for implantation and specially designed small implants, are permanently placed in the tongue base to dynamically support the tissue after healing, thus preventing tongue based closure. Dr. Vaclav Pavelec, one of the original investigators of the device, is conducting further studies on the device which has now received CE marking and the Lente Clinic is the only center in the Czech Republic in which the ReVENT® Sleep Apnea System is available.
